"The difference between try and triumph is just a little umph"

Okay guys this is my first blog, so go easy on me ;0)

My day so far: (there is a reason for this I promise)
Woke up at 5 am, threw on my workout clothes, Drank a vegan protein shake and made it to 530 am bootcamp. 1 hour later and extremely smelly I drove home and washed all the babies bottles and tried to set up the kitchen for the day. Babies were still sleeping so I decided to take a shower and then lay down in bed. (big mistake) I fell into the deepest sleep for about 20 minutes and when I woke up to Olivia crying I was even more tired than before my unnecessary nap. I took Olive (my 6 month old baby) and gave her a bottle.

About 830 am Austin (my 20 month old son) woke up, and cause Olive had fallen back asleep while sucking down her bottle, I had a few minutes to give him a shower! Yay, I love clean babies.

After his shower I brought both babies downstairs and turned on the T.V. or as I like to call it, the "free babysitter." Olivia is learning how to sit and crawl now so she is learning to keep herself entertained a little. I set up Austins high chair in front of the TV and let him watch about an hour a day, or at least in the morning. I started feeding him his breakfast which consisted of dry Cheerios and a banana while I went into the kitchen and made our morning juice.

David and I are currently on a raw vegan plant based diet and have been for the past month. I have a juicer that I use about two to three times a day and a brand new dehydrator that I feel is constantly running.

Anyways, I made Austin and I a carrot and orange juice that we both gobbled up! Then I proceeded to make raw vegan brownies for David and I tonight that have to be set in the dehydrator for 10 hours! I made sure to take out the cashews and almonds I was going to be snacking on later and set them out soaking in water (germination)  A lot of ingredients and a huge mess later I cleaned up the kitchen and washed the juicer and it was time play play play. It was a beautiful day and both babies LOVE being outside so that is where we spent the rest of our morning not including feeding Olive and about 4 diaper changes ;)

Lunch Time! Well, now here we have another go around with the juicer. I decided to make my adaptation of a V8 juice. I juiced tomatoes, parsley, chard, a lot of spinach, and celery. Surprisingly Austin and I LOVED it and we gobbled it up once again. He had a string cheese, nuts and raisens. I tried to feed him all natural chicken won tons, but he was too full. It was time to put the babies down for naps so mommy could head back to the kitchen and prepare din din. I decided to make pesto filled mushrooms to accompany a big salad tonight so I got out the food processor and made a delicious pesto sauce and stuffed regular mushroom and set them in the dehydrator to be ready for this evening.

Well now I have a juicer and a food processor waiting for me to clean in the kitchen, but I needed a break so here I am. The day will proceed much as the morning did. David will arrive from work around 8 tonight (730 if Im lucky)  I will make sure to already have a veggie juice ready and waiting for him to drink while I fix us a huge salad filled with mixed greens, kale, tomato, avacado, sprouts and a raw salad dressing that we will share with Austin while I get the shrooms ready for the family to enjoy! We will then put Austin to bed around 830, then eat our brownies and lay on the couch watching our evening entertainment while Olivia falls asleep on one of us.

Phew! All done. There is so much I am  missing, but what I am trying to show is that eating right and exercising while taking care of babies is HARD WORK, but it is also very POSSIBLE! So much of my day is consumed with cooking and preparing homecooked meals, but the fact that I go to bed knowing that I am feeding myself and my family with the best makes me sleep easy at night.

I am not suggesting to follow the same dietary guidelines I do, but I would recommend to try and spend more time in the kitchen, gym, and the fresh organic produce isle in your local grocery store. You would be amazed at how many more productive hours you have in your day when you have added energy! Hence the title of my blog ;)
